The opening piece choreographed by Dave Scott and performed to Nina Simone was incredible. I loved the way Dave played with tempo and rhythm in the movement. The variations between double time and slow motion made the story and choreography so interesting and unexpected. I also adored the use of their derby hats to hide their faces during transitions. Super cleaver concept and awesome execution by the top 20 dancers.
Oh... I also loved the use of lighting. The series of defined spots really enhanced the formations!
